My nurses and staff don’t like pagers, what alternatives do you offer? (MicroVision 500Z)
MicroVision 500Z alarm calls, whether from residents or other devices of your choice, can go to pagers, as a text message to cell phones, as a display on LED reader boards, or to a central monitoring service. The call will continue to escalate until answered.
How many devices can I use on the Vision Link® Systems?
VisionLink® or VisionPro® and MicroVision 500Z wireless systems can support 65,000 transmitters including pendants, wall stations, door/window, smoke detectors, bed pads, chair pads, floor mat, and/or wheelchair pads with alarms that go to the console and out to the notification devices of your choice. MicroVision 200Z Plus supports up to 100 wireless stations, pendants and other devices.
What recurring fees or licenses will I be charged annually with your system?
None. Your system belongs to you and we believe that quality equipment should not require any ongoing fees for software licenses or technical support.
How long have you been manufacturing your equipment and is your system backwards compatible?
Glad you asked. We recently celebrated 30 years as the leading manufacturer of wireless nurse call systems. Many customers who purchased systems from us 30 years ago are still using them today and adding new technology and services as needed.
How do I know which system is best for my facility?
Unlike most companies each of our sales representatives have worked here for at least 10 years so they will be familiar with your care level and client type. They will ask questions so they can help determine your needs which will allow them to provide you with a complete quote.
Does your system require repeaters?
Yes. Repeaters need to be installed approximately every 150 feet, and we will mark your plans or diagrams with the location. They simply plug into an available electrical outlet and use a wireless mesh network that is spread spectrum 902 to 928 MHz with multiple transmissions to ensure building penetration. They do not interfere with your existing Wi-Fi or other wireless networks that may already be installed in the building.
Do your systems have battery backup in case of power failure?
Yes. Every console whether desktop or computer style ships with a UPS (uninterruptible power supply) for battery backup. Repeaters can have an internal battery providing up to 48 hours of operation.
How do I know if a call station or pendant is working?
All wireless devices and repeaters are supervised by the system and an alert will appear at the console with the device name that can be automatically sent to maintenance for battery replacement or operation check.
Do we have to throw away our old nurse call system or can we upgrade it?
Easily upgrade or add to an existing system. Our experienced sales department would be happy to help you with any questions from integration to an online demonstration. Call us today toll free at 1-888-826-3394.
Why is wireless a better choice for us than a traditional wired call system?
Wireless is taking the nation by storm because of the immense cost savings that wireless systems have to offer. Don't throw your money away on a wired system that could be a dinosaur or cost a lot of money to upgrade in a couple of years. Wireless offers you the unique capability to easily upgrade, integrate and customize. PLUS, you don't have to run all that expensive wire, conduit and electrical backboxes that can be damaged or become obsolete over time. Wireless stations can be easily installed and moved giving you much greater flexibility for change.
How hard is the VisionLink® system to program and set up?
FREE programming available at customer request. Let us take the hassle out of it for you so your system is customized the way you want it at no charge. VisionLink programming is very simple - just fill in the blanks. Easier yet, call our toll free technical support center and your friendly technician will walk you through whatever change you would like to make.
I have three floors and would like staff to be able to view and answer calls on all floors. Do I have to put a VisionLink® system on every floor?
No. If you want multiple nursing stations or other locations to view all calls in progress you can use your network wiring to connect remote monitors to your VisionLink system without the expense or space requirements of additional computer CPU's.
Can VisionLink® send alarms to my existing central station monitoring service?
