Wireless IV Pump Alarm
|
No matter how dedicated, nursing staff cannot be everywhere at once. This is where MicroVision® can help. MicroVision® utilizes 900 MHz spread spectrum wireless technology to link your patients to your staff 24 hours a day. When a monitored IV Pump gives an alarm, whether for medication refill or any other reason, that alarm is immediately and wirelessly broadcast to the MicroVision console at the nursing station and/o Flexibility and Growth User Friendly MicroVision is easy to install. Just attach the transmitter to the IV stand, plug the cord into the alarm output of the IV pump, set the console on the nursing station desktop and plug into AC power, and it's ready to go. Not at the console? No problem. Caregivers can be equipped with optional pocket pagers for alarm call notification. Each alarm call can vibrate or tone to annunciate the call and the display will show the number, location or name (up to 16 characters) associated with the device. The 900MHz Advantage Because the FCC allows higher transmit power for 900 MHz spread spectrum systems, MicroVision provides superior in-building range and up to 10 times the range of 300 MHz products. Add a repeater for even more range to cover a multi-story building or campus. The system is also fully supervised and transmits every 10 seconds to indicate low battery or inactive status. In contrast, it can take some wireless systems up to 24 hours to report a malfunctioning transmitter. |
