Wireless Ventilator Alarm

No matter how dedicated, nursing staff cannot be everywhere at once.  This is where our wireless MicroVision® systems can help.  MicroVision utilizes 900 MHz spread spectrum wireless technology to link your patients to your staff 24 hours a day.  When a monitored ventilator or IV Pump goes into alarm, the patient name, room number or other information is immediately and wirelessly broadcast to the MicroVision console at the nursing station and pocket pagers or other notification devices carried by your nursing staff.

Prevent Ventilator Alarm Fatigue
MicroVision® systems offer a timer that allows you to set the number of seconds between the ventilator’s initial alarm IV Pump and when the event is wirelessly transmitted to nursing staff to reduce nuisance alarms that contribute to ventilator alarm fatigue.

User Friendly
MicroVision is easy to install. Just plug the transmitter into the alarm output on the ventilator, plug the console into an electrical outlet at the nursing station and it's ready to go. Not at the console? No problem. Caregivers can be equipped with optional pocket pagers for alarm call notification. Each alarm call can vibrate or tone to annunciate the call and the display will show the room number or name associated with the device.

Flexibility and Growth
MicroVision® supports up to 300 wireless transmitters and is easily upgradeable to Vision Link which can monitor up to 65,000 devices and offers corridor lights and other types of staff notification. MicroVision can monitor not just your ventilators and IV pumps, but also exit doors, smoke detectors, motion detectors, equipment on/off activation, temperature changes, security & intrusion devices, wireless pendant transmitters that connect to the patient's bedside station, or any device that provides a contact closure.

The 900MHz Advantage
Because the FCC allows higher transmit power for 900 MHz spread spectrum systems, MicroVision provides superior in-building range and up to 10 times the range of 300 MHz products. Add a repeater for even more range to cover a multi-story building or campus. The system is also fully supervised and transmits every 10 seconds to indicate low battery or inactive status. In contrast, it can take some wireless systems up to 24 hours to report a malfunctioning transmitter.
